Hand cut etched copper egret. Artwork measures 5×5 inches (approx. 13cm) and is mounted on a finished wood block with a routed keyhole hanger. Surfaces have been sealed to protect the patina.
This textural copper artwork features a slender egret sitting elegantly on a branch. The background texture is created by a light etching of a crisply detailed maple leaf. The copper is layered so it hovers above a second plate, adding dimension and creating lovely shadows. The space between the plates makes the copper colors shift as the light catches them.
